On May 10th, the Delhi police filed a chargesheet against Jagjit Singh Jassa, also known as Yakub, and Naushad, who are accused of the Bhalswa Dairy murder. They have been charged under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). According to the police, the two individuals were instructed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Kashmir-Khalistan (K2) desk to recreate the 2000 terrorist attack on the Red Fort before Republic Day.

Yakub and Naushad were arrested in the Bhalswa Dairy area of Jahangirpuri in Delhi on January 12th after the police discovered a dismembered body in a drain. The chargesheet, filed in the court of special judge Sanjay Khanagwal, includes charges of murder, criminal conspiracy, and destruction of evidence under the UAPA.

The chargesheet confirms that Yakub and Naushad, who were on parole, were in the final stages of planning an attack on the Red Fort, as well as five targeted killings, including two Sadhus in Haridwar. However, they were apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell before carrying out the attacks.

The accused murdered a Hindu man in the Bhalswa Dairy area to impress their handlers in Pakistan. After their arrest, they confessed to killing the Hindu man, dismembering his body, and sending a video of the murder to their handlers in Pakistan. The motive behind the killing was to incite communal violence before Republic Day, and the video was intended to showcase their capabilities to their handlers across the border. Additionally, the Delhi police revealed that the duo had plans to target Shiv Sena leaders in Punjab in the near future.

It is worth noting that the Hindu man they beheaded was identified as Raj Kumar. The chargesheet states that the duo chose him specifically because he had a Shiv tattoo. Raj Kumar was lured to their rented house in northwest Delhi, where he was beheaded with a machete. The chargesheet also mentions that Yakub and Naushad dismembered Raj Kumar's body into eight pieces and filmed the entire act, which was then sent to their handlers using the Signal chat application.

The police further revealed that the duo received four to five targets from their handler Sohail, who is based in Pakistan and associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and Pakistan's ISI. The targets included a local RSS worker, a senior Shiv Sena party leader in Punjab, and a member of a Sikh group opposing the Khalistan movement. Sohail allegedly promised to transfer money to them after each murder.
