India: Hindu girl's family claims that a Muslim youth kidnaps her, citing concerns about love jihad

An unidentified Muslim youth has reportedly abducted a Hindu girl from the Kanker Khera region in Meerut. The family of the girl has lodged a complaint with the police, claiming that this is a case of love jihad.

According to a report by Dainik Jagran, the girl was employed at a nursing home where she met the youth in question. The family alleges that he ensnared her in a romantic relationship and subsequently kidnapped her.

The incident came to light when the girl didn't return home from work the previous week. Subsequently, her family began searching for the young man, who was also found to be missing.

The family visited his residence to inquire about their daughter's whereabouts, but they were met with hostility from the youth's family. There are suspicions that one of the youth's cousins assisted in taking the girl to Kashmir.
