A recent incident involving the assault of a Hindu boy on July 27 at a school in Rajasthan's Alwar district, due to him wearing a forehead mark (tilak), has come to light. The attack was allegedly carried out by Muslim students and their family members, causing tension in the area. The police have taken action by filing a case against six individuals in connection with the incident.

The incident took place at the Government Higher Secondary School in Chauma Village, Alwar District. The controversy began on July 25 when Muslim students protested against the Hindu student's use of the tilak at school. The next day, a group of Hindu students came to school wearing the religious symbol, leading to another confrontation with Muslim students.

In an effort to ease the situation, the school principal engaged in dialogue with both groups amidst the growing tension. The principal emphasized that there should be no objections to wearing the tilak. However, the matter escalated and resurfaced on July 27 at approximately 9 AM.

Initially, two students were involved in the dispute, and later, more students joined in. A Hindu eleventh-grade student was confronted by 7 to 8 Muslim students who objected to his wearing of the tilak. They also attempted to remove the sacred mark from his forehead.

The victim tried to report the situation to the principal, but he was surrounded by the group of students who forcibly removed his tilak and subjected him to a brutal assault. A relative of one of the accused, Yusuf Mev, intervened in the incident, attacked the victim, and quickly left the scene. The victim has since revealed that the perpetrator and his family have threatened him and his family, demanding that they convert to Islam under threat of death.
